From a single photo to a family archive

Because life doesn’t warn you when a moment becomes a memory.

I’m a dad of two, and like most parents, my phone filled up fast. It started with a problem that felt almost embarrassing to admit: I had thousands of photos of the people I love most–but I couldn’t find the moments that mattered when I needed them.

The “why” began in the hospital operating room when our first baby was born. I still remember my wife–strong and brave–the bright lights, and that tiny hand wrapping its fingers around mine. I recorded everything, like any of us would, because I didn’t want time to steal the feeling.

Years later, my camera roll was packed: first crawl, first tooth, first bite, first day of school, family trips–so much life. Then one night I went looking for that hospital video. I knew it was there, but I kept scrolling past endless noise: screenshots, duplicates, random photos–everything mixed together.

That was the “aha” moment: my memories were saved, but they weren’t preserved. Storage isn’t preservation. A camera roll keeps files–what I wanted was a story.

That insight became the foundation for Little Chapter: a private timeline where photos automatically fall into place, where you can add a short note, and where life becomes chapters you can actually relive–not a mess you have to dig through.

From the beginning, we’ve focused on designing it for real life: no extra work, no pressure to post, privacy-first, and built around meaning instead of attention.

That journey became Bakeory–because this isn’t just a parent problem. Couples, families, friends, and anyone with a story deserves a better way to hold onto what matters.
